The EDGE Café: Road Closure

Where do we start? Ford Lane, which is home to The EDGE Café and our Roastery is temporarily closed. If you follow us on social media, or are local to Ford, Yapton or Arundel, you’ll probably already know about the dire roadworks.  We are pretty gutted. And yes the rumours are true, The EDGE Café may be forced to close during this period. However, as of today, The EDGE Café & Store remains open for all you caffeine addicts to get a taste of the freshest beans in Sussex.

In true EDGE Tea & Coffee style, we roll up our sleeves and carry on. So we are giving back to you guys, our wonderful coffee loving community. The EDGE Café will have a range of offers – starting with an 8oz freshly roasted coffee and a delicious cinnamon roll for just £4.95. Want to hear more? Pick up a temporary loyalty card and collect just 5 stamps to get a FREE Coffee, we’ve called it your road to rewards. As always, bring your own airtight container and save 15% on refillery coffee beans and loose leaf tea. We will be rolling out more special offers for you soon…

The EDGE Cafe team, still in good spirits

You may have seen our pleas, asking people to continue to visit. By this point you’re probably thinking “is it really that bad?”. Quite honestly, the first day was a STRUGGLE. But now you all know that The EDGE Café is still open, we seem to be keeping the boat afloat, but we still need your help. Spread the word, share our social posts, pop in and say hi! It will honestly, really help us out.

The vibe at The EDGE Café continues to be every coffee lovers dream. Relax in our courtyard, breathe in the fresh air and smell the coffee being freshly roasted on site. Cosy up in our EDGE Cube, the perfect indoor/outdoor hybrid seating, without being rained on. With free parked, disabled access and water and treats for your four legged-friends, the café welcomes everyone. Don’t forget to pop into the store and grab some beans to use at home.

Let’s talk about the Road Closure. So, the road is shut from North End Road (Yapton) and accessible via Ford Road  (Ford/Arundel) only. There will then be temporary traffic lights in both directions. After that, the closure will swap sides so that you can access via North End Road (Yapton) but closed via Ford Road (Ford/Arundel). These works are due to continue until mid November.  We will be updating our socials to let you know when these changes happen – So make sure you’re following us! Can’t visit us? That’s all for now guys. Thank you all soooo much for your continued support, it does not go unnoticed.

Big love, Team EDGE.
