The Caturra variety Arabica is grown on the Plantec Coffee Estate, a small plantation in the district of Nuwakot – grown 100km from Mount Everest and 2200-2400 feet above sea level.The plantation is irrigated via fresh snow-fed water and to encourage organic farming, livestock manure is layered with leaves to create compost in heaps around the plantation till fully dried and powdery.

The plantation was established in 1994 with the motives to participate in the agro-export business in Nepal, to create jobs, encourage reforestation and soil conversion whilst supporting a small primary school in the local village.

The product is 100% washed, fully sun-dried and entirely hand cleaned. Mount Everest Supreme has a very mild acidity, a light body and soft smooth flavour with hints of candied orange, cacoa, cinnamon and sustained notes of ginger and delicate floral notes that are almost tea-like with hints of jasmine.
