COVID-19 – Update from Team EDGE

UPDATE: 01.04.2020

Our ‘EDGEMart’ at the Roastery is still open with revised timings 10am-3pm and offering ESSENTIAL goods (milk, bread, eggs, beans etc…all sourced from local suppliers).

Our online shop remains open for orders.

Orders under 2kg are shipped via Royal Mail. Royal mail are currently experiencing delays due to staff sickness. Please contact your local depot or check online for area updates. Estimate delivery time: 7 working days.

Although we do not want to encourage unnecessary trips, our Roastery is open for Click & Collect orders if you are local.

Our ‘EDGEMart’ at the Roastery is still open with revised timings 8.30am-4.30pm and offering ESSENTIAL goods (milk, bread, eggs, beans etc…all sourced from local suppliers).

We are following strict Government guidelines but we must PLEASE remind all customers to maintain social distancing of 2m. This is for the safety of you and our staff.

We are STILL accepting online orders and are dispatching for as long as we are able to. Click & Collect is still available.

We are doing everything we possibly can to push through this…
From now on we will be offering TAKE-AWAY services ONLY
This means there will be no seating available

▪️Brand *NEW* EDGEMart offering essential goods (Milk, eggs, beans etc…) all sourced from local suppliers.
▪️You can still order tea & coffee online via our website.

We will continue to take extra measures, to help keep you guys and our staff safe. The safety of our loyal customers and wonderful staff is of paramount importance to us!

Please remember:

🙌 WASH YOUR HANDS (If you’re bored of Happy Birthday, we recommend ‘I’m a little teapot’…)
 Don’t stop by if you’re feeling poorly

Our loyal customers,

Where do we start? Being at the heart of hospitality for over 30 years, we are saddened by the impact of COVID-19 on our industry. But we want to spread some POSITIVI-TEA!

We are still open for business – until government advises otherwise.

  • The EDGE Café – Operating normal hours for sit-in and take-away
  • Wholesale – We are still supplying cafes, restaurants and hotels with our freshly roasted coffee and loose leaf tea
  • Online – Our warehouse staff are working frantically to make sure you guys get your tea and coffee!

However, the safety of our loyal customers and wonderful staff is of paramount importance to us! Of course we take pride in our hygiene and safety (that is why we have a 5* rating!) but we have taken extra measures to help keep you guys and our staff safe. So don’t be alarmed if you see us with our marigolds on!

However, some things are going to have to change…

What we are doing:

  • Providing anti-bac hand wash facilities
  • We will only be using disposable cups, plates and cutlery
  • Moving tables and chairs into the courtyard (keeping that 2m distance!)
  • Extreme cleaning…Kim and Aggie style
  • Keeping doors open for fresh air and less touching!
  • Ensuring our staff are safe and their coffee is top notch

How you can help us:

  • We’re going cashless where possible. So use cards/contactless please
  • WASH YOUR HANDS (If you’re bored of Happy Birthday, we recommend ‘I’m a little teapot’…)
  • Don’t come in if you’re feeling poorly
  • Cover your cough or sneeze (bless you!)

If you don’t feel comfortable visiting the EDGE Café, don’t forget you can still buy our freshly roasted coffee or loose leaf tea online.

Please let us know if there is anything else we can do to make you feel comfortable and safe. It is important that we continue to support small businesses, our café food is sourced from local suppliers and it is vital that we can carry on supporting them wherever possible.

As we said before, we are tea and coffee experts, not healthcare! We’ll keep you updated if we hear any further information or guidance from the government or NHS… but for now it is business as usual.
